The
New York Daily News has got an advance copy of
Elizabeth Edwards' new memoir,
Resilience, and
says the book is “laced with a powerful dose of forgiveness” for her husband,
John Edwards, who
had an extramarital affair before his 2008 presidential run. "I lie in bed, circles under my eyes, my sparse hair sticking in too many directions, and he looks at me as if I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen,” writes Elizabeth, who is battling breast cancer. “It matters."
Resilience hits bookshelves on May 12. —
