
The winner of the 2009
Templeton Prize will be announced at a news conference (and live Web cast) at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on March 16 at 6 a.m. The prize, valued at more than 1.4 million dollars (the largest annual monetary award given to an individual), honors someone who has made "an exceptional contribution to affirming life's spiritual dimension."
