
This week, Microsoft
launched a free tool that lets you explore the universe from your computer. With
WorldWide Telescope, you can zoom out to the whole sky or toward planets, soar through galaxies, and track the position of celestial objects from any location on Earth. The tool will compete with
Google Sky, a virtual telescope unveiled last year, and we're already hearing that WorldWide Telescope takes the experience up a notch. —
