Florida has released
revisions to its state standards for science education, making it a requirement to teach "evolution" in Florida public schools. Two years ago, the state received an F for its science curriculum. Supporters of the decision have been vocal—they believe the change will help provide children with a firm grounding in contemporary science—but the public has until December 14 to
review and comment on the new standards. —
